How we tuned the new Atmos suite

Studio 7's 9.1.4 build looked simple on paper: install the PMC IB2S-A array, the ceiling and surround complement, and run the certification. In practice, every certified room takes three weeks of measurement, calibration, and critical listening before it earns the badge.

We started with REW sweeps across the listening positions, mapped the SPL and time-of-arrival deltas, and treated the room iteratively — first the corners, then the side reflections, then the ceiling.

By week three, the room was hitting the Dolby spec at every position. The certification was the easy part.
